CIB’s Virtual Hackathon – Collaboration Models for Construction Industry

Come Join us on CIB’s virtual hackathon!

On behalf of CIB student chapters of Politecnico di Milano and the University of Salford, we invite you to participate in the Hackathon challenge/event on “Collaboration Methods for Post-Covid Construction Industry”, which will take place on March 18th from 10 am-5 pm (CET) / 9am-4pm (GMT).

During this event, which is one of the sequential events of our joint CIB project, we will present you the findings of our previous focus groups in which participated academia representatives, researchers, Ph.D. students, and industry professionals. Moreover, we will enjoy the informative keynote speeches of renowned academicians and field experts from the UK and Italy on novel collaboration methods and models in the industry.

Throughout this event, the hackathon participants will be given a real construction project case study with its challenges and risks. The participating teams need to collaborate remotely and find innovative solutions to mitigate the negative risks and benefit from the positive risks, just like the real collaboration mode nowadays. At the end of the hackathon, each team should present their work for 15 minutes, based on which the professional jury will judge and select the winning team. The remarkable prize of the winning team is free participation in CIB World Building Congress 2022 and publication opportunity as co-authors of our CIB project proceeding.
