The SBE Conference Series is the leading global platform, and one of the longest-running, for scientific and technical exchange on sustainable development and management of the built environment. It brings together top experts and the latest research and innovation to drive sustainability at every scale, from local communities to global initiatives, engaging all stakeholders across the built environment value chain. Whether addressing local or international challenges, SBE fosters collaboration between researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders worldwide.

The Sustainable Built Environment Conference Series is organised by four international organisations as co-owners:

The series is organized so that the financial and organizational responsibility for each SBE event is taken by one or more local research-based organizations, while the four owners organisations provide strategic direction, overall planning of the series, and organizational advice. The partners have also used their networks to help ensure a large multi-disciplinary audience for the events.
