CIB Full Member the Chartered Institute of Building has developed a new competition for students from around the world. Using a new interactive, engaging software platform called SimVenture Validate, the competition asks students to create a virtual organisation and test team skills on a unique and challenging construction project.
About the competition
Using your own location and an imagined injection of cash from an anonymous donor, you will be asked to bid for the construction of a student-focused campus facility. You will be provided with a campus example, but you will be asked to present a build that is radically different, that focuses on the student experience and meets local technical, environmental, and social needs. Using locally sourced materials and skills, you will be tasked with the design and delivery of the facility through a thorough two-stage selection process, replicating the real-life bidding process.
