Conference theme

Harmony in Global Construction Trends: People, Technology and Society

The global construction industry is currently experiencing transformation in many areas, including those of people, technology, and society.  Ensuring harmony in emerging concepts, trends, and practices is vital for global success.  Harmony in development is essential for the achievement of many of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3, promoting the healthy well-being of humans at all ages; Goal 8, promoting sustainable economic growth, employment, and decent work for all; Goal 9 building resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialisation and fostering innovation; and Goal 11 building sustainable cities and communities. These goals can only be met if we work together, and thus, Harmony is the central theme of this conference, which seeks to bring together industry professionals, academics and PhD students interested in the research of people in construction and their safety, health, and wellbeing.
