The CIB Student Chapter, in collaboration with the Centre for Smart Modern Construction (c4SMC), organised the “Student Sunset Social” on 30 April 2021 at the Kingswood campus of Western Sydney University. It was an informal gathering to recollect the unique memories captured during the year 2020 and learn from each other’s experiences. The School of Engineering, Design and Built Environment students shared their thoughts on the impact of the pandemic on their academic life, finances and social life with fellow students.
The short video represents the experiences and lessons learnt by WSU students during the past year. Kudos to everyone who has persisted in their studies amidst this pandemic. We, at the CIB Student Chapter of WSU and c4SMC, hope and pray that this pandemic will soon end and that people all over the world can stay safe and healthy.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the Dean – Professor Mike Kagioglou, Deputy Dean – Professor Yang Xiang, Associate Dean (Research and HDR) – Professor Richard (Chunhui) Yang of the School of Engineering, Design and Built Environment and the Staff Advisors of the CIB Student Chapter – Professor Srinath Perera and Dr. Robert Osei-Kyei.
