Membership categories
CIB offers four categories of membership: Full, Associate, Individual or Individual ECR.
Details of the benefits for each category are set out in this table.
Annual subscriptions
Members are invoiced for the membership fee appropriate to their category of membership. Annual fees are proposed by the CIB Board and approved by the CIB General Assembly each year.

Discounts
From 2026 a reduction is offered of 66% for members in countries classed by the World Bank as a Low Income country, and a reduction of 33% is offered for Members in countries classed as Lower-Middle Income. The World Bank tables are updated annually and are available here. From 2026 these reductions have increased from 50% and 25% respectively.
New memberships in any category joining after July 1st in the year will cover the period until the end of the next year.
Payments
Membership fees are usually invoiced in November ahead of the applicable calendar year, and expire on December 31st at the end of the year, and are automatically renewed each calendar year, unless a cancellation notice is provided three months in advance, ie by October 1st. Payments can be made via Bank transfers (the banking information is noted on the invoice) or by credit card via our online payment page using PayPal.
Membership Application
To become a CIB Member please complete the application form below. Please do not use this form unless you intend to apply for membership. Please use this link if you wish to make an enquiry or need more assistance.
Once your application is received, it will be acknowledged, and then considered by CIB’s Membership Committee. Provisional acceptance will then be notified to you, subject to receipt of payment of your first subscription invoice.
