The latest meeting of the Liaison Committee of International Associations of Civil Engineering took place online on February 9th. It discussed progress of its two main programmes of work:
- The Joint Committee on Structural Safety (JCSS), and
- The Joint Committee on the GLOBE Consensus (JCGC).
The next meeting is in Brussels in late May, and CIB members who are interested in either Committee’s workstream are invited to contact Don Ward, CIB chief executive, to discuss their interest.
CIB is a member of the Liaison Committee alongside five other organisations:
- ECCS – European Convention for Construction Steelwork
- FIB – Fédération Internationale du Béton
- IABSE – International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering
- IASS – International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures
- RILEM – Réunion Internationale des Laboratoires d’Essais et de Recherche sur les Matériaux et les Constructions.
