The 5th President’s seminar series will be panel discussions with invited experts in their field discussing a given topic. The latest panel discussion is titled ‘Quality of Construction Data availability in addressing SDGs’ and will be held on Friday 28th March at 11:30 EST.
Data is the foundation of innovation in construction, driving sustainability and efficiency to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This panel, featuring CIB’s latest research, will explore how global construction data enables informed decision-making for sustainability (TG81), knowledge management supports efficient resource use (W102), performance measurement tools enhance accountability and efficiency(W117), and AI-driven innovations transform the industry.
Experts will discuss the critical role of high-quality, structured, and real-time data in enabling AI applications, predictive analytics, and automation to improve construction processes. Join us to examine how data accessibility, integration, and management can unlock AI’s full potential, fostering a more intelligent, adaptive, and sustainable construction sector.
Joining the panel will be:
- Prof. Abimbola Windapo, University of Capetown, SA – TG81 – Global Construction Data
- Prof. Jacob Kashiwagi, Kashiwagi Solution Model Inc, US – W117 – Performance Measurement in Construction
- Prof. Subashini Suresh, University of Wolverhampton, UK – W102 – Information and Knowledge Management in Building
