Don Ward was invited to give a keynote address at the annual conference of the Association of Schools of Construction of Southern Africa (ASOCSA) hosted by CIB member Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth and organised by Theo Haupt, CIB Programme Director, in one of his other roles! He addressed global trends in the industry and the importance of research and innovation to meet the challenges faced by the industry.
Whilst in South Africa he was also able to visit and meet with other CIB members past, present and hopefully future, including University of Pretoria, University of Johannesburg, University of the Witswatersrand, UNISA (University of South Africa), Tshwane University of Technology, and the Construction Industry Development Board (cidb).
