Built Environment Project and Asset Management (BEPAM) call for papers

BEPAM has issued a call for papers for a special issue on Operationalising Regeneration in the Built Environment through Circularity, Digital Innovation and Collaborative Governance.

Objectives of the Special Issue

This Special Issue seeks to advance knowledge on how regenerative principles can be operationalised  through the integration of circularity, digital innovation, and collaborative governance to target synergistic regenerative outcomes across the built asset lifecycle.

Anticipated Themes

The Special Issue welcomes submissions addressing the following indicative, non-exhaustive themes:

  • Operationalising Regenerative Principles: Frameworks, strategies, organisational capabilities, and implementation pathways for translating regenerative principles into practice across the built asset lifecycle.
  • Circularity for Regenerative Built Environments: Circular economy approaches, resource stewardship, and lifecycle strategies that preserve resources, extend asset value, and support regenerative outcomes.
  • Digital Innovation for Regenerative Transformation: Digital technologies, intelligent systems, data-driven decision-making, and information management approaches that enable regenerative project and asset management.
  • Collaborative Governance and Stakeholder Engagement: Governance models, cross-sector partnerships, stakeholder collaboration, and participatory decision-making that support the implementation of regenerative practices.
  • Performance Assessment and Decision Support: Assessment frameworks, performance indicators, decision support systems, and evaluation approaches for measuring regenerative outcomes, understanding trade-offs, and supporting wider implementation.
