CIB’s Board approved the addition of up to 2 students to the CIB Student Chapters Committee. The SCC creates and delivers programmes such as the Sebestyén Future Leaders Awards, CIB’s Best Doctoral Research Award, and other student funding and programmes. They also collaborate closely with the Early Career Researcher sub-committee on research programmes. Those selected to serve on the SCC will work with CIB global research leaders in this voluntary role.
Each Student Chapter may nominate one candidate to the Student Chapters Committee. A nomination form is found here. The SCC will select up to 2 student representatives considering geographic diversity, research interests, leadership statement, and vision statement. These representatives will serve for a term no longer than the duration of their doctoral degree and would be reviewed each year.
Nominations are due on 25 February 2022 to [email protected] and should be sent by the Faculty Advisor to ensure one nomination per Student Chapter. The Faculty Advisor is encouraged to summarize the candidate and provide words of support with the submission.
