The CIB Officers Committee met on 14th April 2021 chaired by CIB President Keith Hampson, the main business included ratification of the Board’s approval in March of the business plan for 2021-22 for publication to the members (see separate link to be circulated), and an early discussion about succession planning for the Board for the next CIB triennium from June 2022.
Progress reports were also received from the Programme Committee, which has ratified three new open-access journals from the publisher MDPI to have CIB ‘Encouraged’ status; the Student Chapters Committee which is in the process of judging entries for the Sebestyén Future Leaders Award to be announced around the end of April; the Early Career Researchers sub-committeewhich has held 2 excellent networks events including with some Commission Coordinators and is finalising its events programme for the rest of 2021; the Membership & Communications Committee, the Administration Committee and the Third-party funding sub-committee.
The final business was to note good progress with the World Building Congress 2022, led by RMIT Melbourne, whose Call for Abstracts is open until end June.
The next meetings of the Officers Committee and CIB Board are both in June.
