Speech Topic: Contributions to Research and CIB
Alistair has led a research team in construction innovation, safety and health for more than 28 years, pioneering work on the interaction between these two domains.
He has led projects on nanotechnology, 3D concrete printing, offsite construction, platform technologies, transformational H&S, accident causality, and COVID. His research has engaged with mega-projects in the UK and across the globe. He has been an influencer, working closely with the HSE, UK Government, professional institutions and industry.
He currently serves on panels implementing learning from the Grenfell Tower disaster. Prior to joining Loughborough University, he had a successful career as an engineer and construction manager on major projects.
