A leading CIB member organisation has the following opportunities available.
We are hiring two Postdoctoral Fellows to join the Department of Building and Real Estate at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. They will develop and lead their own research projects in the areas of (a) digital twins and other technologies for energy efficiency or net zero carbon retrofitting of existing buildings, or for green building assessment; or (b) digital green construction project management.
These 2-year fellowships are an excellent opportunity for PhD graduates and researchers interested in becoming world leaders in driving the sustainability transformation of the buildings and construction sector. You will be responsible for (a) developing and leading your own research project; (b) presenting and publishing outcomes of the project; and (c) developing research grant proposals, with guidance if required.
The key skills, attributes, knowledge, qualifications and experience required to perform the role are: (a) having obtained or being close to obtaining a PhD in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with a focus on one or more of: (i) digital twins, (ii) building information modelling, (iii) laser scanning, (iv) artificial intelligence, (v) programming, (vi) optimization, (vii) retrofitting, and (viii) green building or construction; (b) having a strong publication record with at least 5 JCR Q1 journal papers as the first or corresponding author; (c) being highly motivated and committed; and (d) having excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
