The latest Sustainable Built Environment (SBE) regional conference was held in Shenzhen on 23-24 November 2023. It was attended by over 2000 delegates including 35 distinguished VIP guests from 14 countries and more than 400 government officials, academic scholars and professionals. There were more than 200 speakers in 20 thematic sessions, and a significant output was the launch on Day 1 by officials and VIP guests of the Shenzhen Initiative to achieve a Net Zero Earth.
CIB’s appreciation goes to the hosts and organisers in Shenzhen, and to Prof. Greg Foliente who represented the Sustainable Built Environment (SBE) partners including CIB at the conference and gave one of the opening remarks, a keynote address, and several contributions to roundtable sessions.
