Makarand (Mark) Hastak term of office lasts for three years until the General Assembly in 2025. In his acceptance speech he paid tribute to Keith Hampson, the outgoing President, and his energy and infectious enthusiasm despite a period of mainly online interactions.
Mark emphasised his wish to engage with all stakeholders in CIB and hoped everyone will take the chance to talk to him about CIB’s strategy. His initial priorities are to focus on membership value and growth, alternative and complementary funding streams, and growing CIB’s profile and influence, including with the United Nations and especially the Sustainable Development agenda, the World Bank, various global charitable foundation, and large global businesses in our sector.
