Keith Hampson’s three-year term of office as CIB President came to an end at the General Assembly on June 29th 2022, which took place during World Building Congress 2022 (WBC2022) hosted by RMIT in Melbourne. We are incredibly grateful to him for his leadership and comradeship over a challenging period which spanned the Covid-19 era.
In his valedictory speech Keith thanked the Officers, Board members and secretariat of CIB for their excellent efforts over the last three years, and wished new President Mark Hastak and the new Board every success in the next triennium.
“It is the personal relationships formed in CIB which have been the greatest benefit and pleasure of my long association with the organisation”.
Keith also took the opportunity to launch a new CIB award, to be known as the CIB Keith Hampson ECR-Industry Award, reflecting his own career at the heart of collaboration between academia and industry.
“I am delighted that the CIB Board has accepted my offer to endow a perpetual award for best-practice industry-research collaboration by CIB Early Career Researchers.“ More information on this award is available here.
Keith plans to stay actively engaged in the Board and CIB activities as Immediate Past President, and concluded by expressing
“My deep thanks for the trust placed in me to lead CIB over this past three years. It has been a true honour.”
