Through the support of Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) and Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT), the coordinators of CIBW099 and TG59 hosted a free web-conference on the 10th of September 2020.
The event that recorded 207 delegates allowed the presentation of close to 35 peer-reviewed papers covering healthy bodies, healthy minds, digital solutions, policy and performance, design and technical skills as well as leadership and engagement, apart from keynotes that addressed ‘Mental Health’ delivered by Martin Coyd, OBE.
The paper entitled ‘Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction Workshop: Reducing Stress and Improving Coping Behaviours of Construction Professionals’ received the Jimmie Hinze award while the best student paper award went to the paper entitled ‘Impact of construction work environment on quality of life of ageing workforce’.
The pre-recorded 10-minute video clips for these award-winning papers and other presentations are freely available online. The Conference Proceedings will be made available in the coming months.
