CIB working comissions are the core of our work. They are a worldwide network of experts in a defined scientific area who meet regularly and who collaborate in international projects and exchange information on a voluntary basis.
CIB Working Commission W014 (Fire Safety) now has a leadership position open, and invites nominations from members with appropriate expertise and experience.
Since its establishment, CIB W014 has pursued the following objectives:
- to provide an ongoing research focus and promote international collaboration for the development of a sound technical basis for fire safety engineering (FES) method
- to promote fire safety engineering methods and their use with performance based codes
- to support the evolution of the fire design codes
- to provide fire safety technology input to the other CIB Commissions as appropriate
- to exchange fire safety engineering outputs internationally including the standards community.
Existing members of the commission along with fellows with relevant experience and expertise within the CIB network (i.e., CIB Full and Associate member representatives) are cordially invited to apply for the role.
In order to be considered for this position, you will need to provide the following documents:
- CVs of the visionary leadership team members
- A joint visionary statement, including a specific work plan for the next three years
- A support letter from the proposed individuals’ line manager
