CIB Vistas is a new initiative aimed at promoting, collecting, marketing, and disseminating a suite of global, visionary research and thought leadership centered around the future of the built environment and its impact on people and the planet.
Vista’s official launch will occur at the World Building Congress where, during a plenary session, individual members will pitch ideas, research streams, projects, and initiatives around Vista’s Vision, Mission, and Values in very short 1-minute, 1-slide presentations. Following the pitches, conference attendees will be able to network, discuss and develop potential international collaborations throughout the conference, spurring the first tranche of initiatives under the Vistas Programme umbrella.
Initial pitch ideas are to be submitted to CIB’s Programme Committee. Please refer to the Vistas Programme document embedded below for further details and to better get an idea of the benefits of contributing and leading initiatives under the Vistas Programme.
To submit a Vistas presentation proposal at WBC, please email Mike Behm at [email protected] with the following two headings and less than a total of 300 words by Friday 6 May.
- Idea, Objectives, Scope of Work:
- How does this meet Vistas’ Vision, Mission, and Values:
(note this is the 3-page document the PC finalised and delivered to the Board)
Examples of CIB initiatives underway that would fall under the Vistas Programme would be:
- new toolkits
- new Task Groups TG97 and TG124
- third-party funding initiatives
CIB’s Programme Committee will review your submission and provide feedback by Friday 20 May.
Inquiries can be direct to Mike Behm at [email protected]. If there are a sufficient number of inquires and questions, CIB will hold open Q & A sessions in late April for interested members.
