In his latest conversation Don Ward spoke to Dr Esmaeel Eftekharian at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, and Dr Jessica Borg at RMIT University, Melbourne, winner and runner-up respectively in CIB’s inaugural Best Doctoral Dissertation Awards in 2021. We are sorry that the third finalist Dr Ahmed Daoud was not able to join the conversation. Jessica and Esmaeel had great advice for PhD students, supervisors, early career researchers, and policy-makers, where they both conveyed the value of collaborative research bringing together industry, government and academia.
