Highlights of CIB Participation at Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit (ADIS-2025) – 17-18 June

I had the privilege of actively participating in the Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit (ADIS-2025), held in Abu Dhabi as a premier gathering of global leaders, experts, and stakeholders from across the infrastructure and construction sectors. This event provided an excellent platform to forge new partnerships, share knowledge, and discuss innovative approaches to the future of infrastructure development.
Collaborating
During the summit, I was honored to formalize and sign two MoUs on behalf of CIB:
· Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CIB and Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC):
This MoU aims to enhance cooperation on research, knowledge sharing, and joint initiatives to promote sustainable and resilient infrastructure development in the UAE and beyond. Through this partnership, we envision impactful case studies, joint workshops, and strategic initiatives to address emerging challenges in the sector.
· Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CIB and Global MICE Organisation Limited (GMOLx):
This agreement underscores our shared commitment to advancing global conferences, exhibitions, and knowledge dissemination activities. It will support creating new platforms for industry leaders and researchers to exchange ideas and best practices, ultimately contributing to the growth and modernization of infrastructure worldwide.
Beyond these formal agreements, I engaged in several productive meetings and discussions with professionals and stakeholders from across the industry. Many expressed keen interest in collaborating on research projects, case studies and educational opportunities, reflecting the summit’s spirit of innovation and cooperation.
A particularly meaningful interaction was with the Counsellor of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). We explored potential collaborative initiatives and agreed to hold further meetings to develop further partnerships.
Turkish Contractors Association
Additionally, I had a constructive meeting with the Secretary General of the Turkish Contractors Association, where we discussed key challenges currently facing the construction industry, such as supply chain disruptions, digital transformation, and sustainability imperatives. We agreed to continue this dialogue in further meetings and explore opportunities for future collaborations.
I also had the opportunity to meet with the Director General of Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC). We discussed strategies for driving innovation and excellence
in infrastructure projects across the region, and I look forward to engaging further with ADPIC representatives to translate these discussions into impactful collaborations.
The Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit 2025 has proven to be an invaluable platform for fostering partnerships, exchanging insights, and setting the stage for future collaborations that will shape the infrastructure landscape regionally and globally. I look forward to working closely with all our partners and colleagues to advance the shared vision of a sustainable, resilient, and innovative built environment.
