Museums Environment: Challenges and Opportunities

The conference is supported by UK Art and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and Egypt Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF). The conference will be staged as a hybrid event, face to face as well as virtual attendance and participation. 

The conference is organized by the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Egypt, and Smart Urban Futures (SURF) at the University of Salford, United Kingdom. The conference aims at presenting and sharing best practices in museology and mobile heritage conservation including the challenges associated with meeting conflicting environmental requirements, demanding international standards and the use of technology in assessing museum performance, digital twinning, and monitoring indoor conditions.
