Our final seminar in this series, to be held on 20th April, is with Nora Johanne Klungseth of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), who will explore Sustainable and Digital Transformations.

Abstract

Transformation is key for us to move forward. What we put into this term can vary. Depending on researchers’ background, they often focus on either sustainable or digital transformation. Some also combine the two. A key feature in all this is standards and frameworks that can guide us and act as important drivers of accelerating the transition to a digital and sustainable world. This is highly relevant for all kinds of organizations, all from small to large, and for the built environment. The use of standards and frameworks to enable sustainable and digital transformations is particularly relevant for facility management and maintenance where there is a need to continue developing knowledge and identifying proven benefits in operating phases and beyond.
