CIB Vistas 2026 call

Continuing its drive to encourage visionary research and thought leadership in the built environment, CIB has announced its call for the CIB Vistas Programme 2026.

CIB Vistas Fund Programme 

Continuing its drive to encourage visionary research and thought leadership in the built environment, CIB has allocated a total amount of €10,000 to the CIB Vistas Programme 2026 Fund, and details of how to submit applications can be found on this page. The deadline for submissions is 15 December 2025.

The fund can be used to support the following, but not limited to, activities below:

  • A PhD student / ECR visiting a CIB Associate or Full member as a short-term visiting research fellow around Vistas theme topics  
  • Holding project meetings, workshops, seminars around Vistas theme topics  
  • Collecting pilot data for a larger grant around Vistas theme topics  
  • Having graduate students conduct an extensive literature review for a conference paper and a grant submission around Vistas theme topics  
  • Research cost sharing for a larger grant project 

How to apply

The proposal shall be a maximum of 3 pages and must include the following:

  • project title 
  • project background and justification 
  • project/research team 
  • project duration and activity timeline 
  • project cost breakdown 

Please make your application by sending the required application document(s) to the CIB Programme Director, Dr. Sina Moradi (sina.moradi@cibworld.org) by the deadline.

The proposal shall indicate how it supports the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, and meets the three Vistas pillars of global collaboration, people and planet, and futures.  

Eligibility

The application for funding is open to all levels of CIB members, namely individual, associate or full members. Non-CIB members are not eligible to apply for funding under the Vistas programme, however they may participate in the funding call as a team member, but are not eligible to receive funding.

CIB Board members are allowed to be part of a project team. However, no funds may be allocated to project team members who are Board members, in order to avoid any conflict of interest.   

Deadline

The deadline for submission of proposals is 15 December 2025, with the result announced in mid February 2026.
