WDBE2021 is unlocking urban supersensing and launching the “World of Digital Built Environment” -community platform for continuous collaboration. WDBE is now the “World of Digital Built Environment” – a continuous platform for our growing global community highlighting the brightest minds and digital solutions improving our urban future. Together we will continue to concretize the unlimited possibilities of digitalization as an enabler of a more socially, culturally, ecologically and economically sustainable urban future. Our shared journey starts NOW as the WDBE platform opens a series of free, live-streamed Community Sessions, packed with community keynotes and expert talks with solution highlights bringing the urban supersenses alive. By joining the community now, you gain access to a monthly stream of professional content, such as articles, blog posts and podcasts, and a matchmaking tool to find new clients and partners. The combination of digital + humane will unlock new ways of exploring and improving our built environment. The main question of WDBE in 2021 is: How the developments in the interplay between humans and computers are changing our way of creating and interacting with buildings and cityscapes?
The WDBE activities will explore how we can use digitalisation to power up our senses to enhance our urban environments and their sustainable development. So, what new supersenses does digitalization give us and what will be their role in the future of our industry? How can we incorporate these senses into our own processes? Our WDBE Community Sessions and the Summit will give you the opportunity to search for the answers and co-create our urban future together.

Call for presentations is open until April 30
We have now opened a call for presentations that explain and discuss what kind of supersenses there are available now and what else is still needed to future-proof our built environment. We welcome presentations from all around the built environment, ranging from land use planning and zoning to building and tenant services as well as end-of-life and circularity solutions.
We hope that the submitted proposals will also look to highlight the various aspects of digitalisation, from sustainability impacts, new business models and the role of ecosystems to user experience. Additionally, presentations covering all of the various enabling technologies are welcomed.
