AI in Construction is the first lecture in a series being developed by the CIB Student Chapter of the Politecnico di Milano. The series, each with a specific focus, will feature leading professionals and researchers in the field as invited keynote speakers.
The first lecture on AI in Construction will take place on September 11, 16:00-18:00 CET. It will include presentations by:
- Josh Kanner of Oracle – How advances in Artificial Intelligence are impacting design and construction
- Fazel Khayatian of EMPA – Machine learning for building performance amid data scarcity
- Ania Khodabakhshian of Polimi – AI for large building stock energy retrofit
Topics which will be covered in the series of future lectures include the application of Natural Language Processing in construction projects and data-driven construction risk management models.

The duration of each session will be 2 hours and they will take place between September to November 2023.
